COOPERATIVISMO Y AGENDA 2030
AgriCOOPDS, teniendo en cuenta las realidades diferenciadas en los distintos países, considera que el término cooperativa hace referencia a todas aquellas formas que actualmente adopta la agricultura familiar organizada y en el que la propiedad sea compartida por todos sus miembros, siempre que cumpla ciertos principios democráticos. Así, incluirían organizaciones u asociaciones de productores y productoras, sindicatos agrarios u otros.
El COOPERATIVISMO AGRARIO es un instrumento CLAVE para mejorar la situación de 2.500 millones de agricultores y agricultoras familiares en el mundo.
Las cooperativas son imprescindibles para alcanzar los ODS
El cooperativismo cuenta con una vinculación directa con 69 metas de los ODS, 41% del total de metas existentes.
- la agricultura familiar y las Cooperativas tienen una vinculación con todos y cada uno de los 17 ODS.
- existe relación de la agricultura familiar para un total de 121 metas, que representan el 72% del conjunto de metas de la Agenda 2030
- En una parte importante de estas relaciones, las cooperativas juegan un papel fundamental (vinculación directa con 69 metas ODS, el 41% del total de metas existentes)
- Por tanto, el desarrollo y fortalecimiento del sector cooperativo es un elemento clave para la consecución de un número elevado de las 121 metas vinculadas a la agricultura familiar.
La contribución de las cooperativas al desarrollo rural facilitando la consecución de metas relacionadas con la pobreza, el hambre o la desigualdad en las comunidades rurales se produce a través de su labor en el ámbito productivo del sector primario, pero también a través del desarrollo del espíritu cooperativo y colaborativo que facilita el desarrollo de sociedades más cohesionadas y resilientes.
